FOSTER THE LOVE MN 10 X 10 EVENT

10 CHURCHES, GATHER 100 ITEMS EACH, FOR 100 FOSTER KIDS IN RAMSEY COUNTY

SCATTER- Each church works together to gather 100 specific items for kids entering foster care in Ramsey County.  Each church is responsible for 1 of the following items:

Backpacks- St. Paul Hmong Alliance

Pajamas- First Presbyterian in WBL

Underwear- Eaglebrook WBL campus

Socks-King of Kings Lutheran in Roseville

Small toy/feminine products- Bethany Baptist in Roseville

Throw sized blankets- Atonement Lutheran in New Brighton

Stuffed animal/Deodorant - Cornerstone Baptist in WBL

Books- Twin Cities Hmong Alliance

Shampoo/body wash- LifePoint in Maplewood

Toothbrush and toothpaste- First Free in Maplewood

GATHER-Meet at LifePoint Church to hear briefly from a foster parent about the 700-800 kids who enter the Ramsey County foster system each year.

PACK- Join in the fun as we mingle with other similar-minded churches to put together 100 backpacks for kids who usually come into the foster system with just a plastic bag- if anything.  Let’s let the Ramsey County social workers, foster families, and birth families know that the CHURCH cares about them. (We do this by including a letter in each pack that lets the child and family know who packed their bag and that we have more physical and spiritual supports available to them if they would like further help.)
