This is a faith-based group that meets the first Tuesday of every month from 6-7:30pm at Augustana Lutheran Church (in the library). Contact Donna at engels53@comcast.net for more info.

Bellis Adoption Education & Support

"Every other month, Bellis hosts evenings of Adoption Connection....for adoptive parents, birth parents, adopted persons, and birth or adoptive grant parents. We start in a large group format, then break into facilitated small group discussions." Upcoming events: Jan. 27, 2018- Adoption Speaker's Workshop 9:30-11:30 Eden Prairie Library & Jan. 28, 2018- Adoption Connection 6-8 pm. & Adoption Speaker's Workshop 9:30-11:30 April 21, 2018.

Imago Hearts- Prior Lake Area

"We introduce and promote parenting strategies designed to bring healing to the heart, mind, and soul of a child wounded by neglect, abuse and relational trauma."  This is a faith based organization that meets the first Saturday of the month from 9-12 in Burnsville.  David Little- 952-270-6281 - No childcare.

Embrace Family Support Groups- N. St. Paul and St. Croix Valley

We support those who have done adoption, foster care (therapeutic & foster to adopt) & international orphan hosting, those who are in process and those who are just thinking about it.  When we adopt, do therapeutic foster care, foster to adopt or host children, we are “embracing” them into our family for a short, long or forever timeframe.  No childcare currently.  2 support groups: #1 meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at North Haven Church in N. St. Paul from 8-10pm and #2 meets the first Tuesday of the month at Shepherd of the Valley Church in Afton from 7-9pm.

Rooted- foster/adoptive families support group- Spring Lake Park

Faith based support group "designed for families to connect with a community who will equip, support, encourage and sustain one another with the Gospel together." They meet at Emmanuel Christian Center from 7-8:30pm on the following dates: January 9, February 13, March 13, April 10, and May 8.  Childcare IS provided (6wks-10 years) along with coffee, water, and snacks!  Enter through door 4 and group is in room 201. 

Adoption Support Network- Support Groups

Support groups in Crystal, New Ulm, St. Paul, Maple Grove, Blaine, Minnetonka, Bemidji, Apple Valley, Brainerd, Woodbury, St. Louis Park ,Coon Rapids, Cambridge, Mankato, and Plymouth covering a range of topics and some intended for foster children themselves.
